Bulletin 132, Management of the California State Water Project, is a series of annual reports that describe the status of State Water Project operations and water deliveries. Each annual report updates information regarding project costs and financing, water supply planning, power operations, and significant events that affect the management of the State Water Project. Each also presents hydrologic information for the water year, capital construction information for the fiscal year, and water delivery, operations, maintenance, and other activities for the calendar year. The latest updates of this report are available in Adobe PDF format below and continue the annual series begun in 1963.

Bulletin 132-98   (25MB file size) provides information on SWP events and operations that occurred during the water year beginning October 1, 1996, through Calendar Year 1997. The bulletin features discussions of the New Year’s floods of December 1996 and January 1997; water supplies and deliveries; final construction details and beginning operations of the Coastal Branch, Phase II; and plans for the East Branch Extension.

With Bulletin 132-98, DWR began a transition to reporting all of these activities on a calendar year basis only. This bulletin also includes Appendix B, which explains the data and computations used to determine water charges billed to the 29 long-term water supply contractors.

Hill, a long-time supporter of California water issues. Bulletin 132-95  features discussions of two milestone documents the Monterey Agreement and the Bay-Delta Accord. The bulletin provides information on SWP events and operations that occurred during the water year beginning October 1, 1993, through the fiscal year ending June 30 1995.

Appendix E to Bulletin 132, Water Operations in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, is an annual publication that documents SWP operations in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Appendix E also reports on water quality, Delta flows, and the salvage and loss of federally threatened and endangered fish at Delta facilities.

Appendix D to Bulletins 132-98 through 132-01   (11MB file size), is the Department’s report to the Legislature on the costs of recreation and fish and wildlife enhancement, in compliance with the Davis-Dolwig Act. The report is no longer mandated by the Legislature and capital costs for year 2001 and following are now reported in Bulletin 132.
